The family business started over 300 years ago, first as a sake distillery. After 23 years of intensive research, Dr. Matsuura perfected the formula that combines 53 ingredients which are fermented for over 3 years and 3 months. Manda started to sell its signature Wellness Superfood from 1984 in Japan. Decades later, the beloved Japanese household name is now available in the USA.
